Selling the Brazilian Brand

As a private equity opportunity, Brazil has moved in just a few years from being one of the least sought-after markets in the world to one that generates great enthusiasm.

Much of this positive momentum has been driven by ABVCAP, Brazil’s national private equity and venture capital association. In an exclusive interview with Privcap, ABVCAP’s chairman Sidney Chameh discusses its accomplishments–including growing its membership and advocating for favorable tax policies–as well as the mission of selling Brazil’s “brand” globally and why Brazil’s private equity market is not overheated.
